Hong Kong – 14 April 2012 – OceanX recently announced that its flagship OceanFax Fax Server has received “China Outstanding Software Product Award 2011” from China Software Industry Association led by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of PRC.

The award recognized the innovative features and high quality of OceanFax Fax Server. By winning the award, OceanFax will be allowed to display on the China Government Procurement website, which is targeted to government field and accessible by public utilities.

Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of PRC (MIIT, website: www.miit.gov.cn) is the state agency of the People’s Republic of China responsible for regulation and development of the postal service, Internet, wireless, broadcasting, communications, production of electronic and information goods, software industry and the promotion of the national knowledge economy. The China Software Industry Association (CSIA) is a nation-wide organization led by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is also the major representative and one of the most active associations in the China Software industry. Its goal is to promote the development of software industry in China and provide a hub with overseas markets. The organization’s members include major multinational corporations such as Microsoft.

After the strict selection process based on the assessors’ objective assessment, OceanX, on behalf of Hong Kong Software Industry, was selected to win the award this year. (Take a look at the list of winners from the event.)

On April 13, the China Outstanding Software Product Awards 2011 (Hong Kong Section) Presentation Ceremony was held at the heart of the HKTDC International ICT Expo 2012 from April 13 to 16, 2012 in Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) where 7 awardees were announced. OceanX attended the ceremony and received the award.
