OceanFax Integrates with HP MFPs to Offer the Streamlined and Reliable Scan-to-Fax Solution

Hong Kong – September 16 2011 – OceanX, the provider of the No.1 Best-selling & Award-winning OceanFax Fax Server, recently announced it has been recognized as a partner in the Hewlett-Packard (HP) Solution Business Partner (SBP) Program for Imaging and Printing, which is Asia’s only fax server provider to pass the accreditation. The status was granted to OceanX based on the company’s valued integration work to build high-quality fax solutions with HP’s market-leading MFPs.

HP Solutions Business Partner program (SBPP) is a worldwide HP program for independent software vendors and system integrators, which allows HP to offer partners fully compatible, HP-certified software applications and solutions that expand the functionality of their new and existing devices. The partners were chosen for their geographical reach, business stability, professional services and support capability. Through a rigorous selection process including HP accreditation, certification and test program, HP qualified the design and development processes for OceanFax and its integration capability with HP MFPs.

Closer Cooperation: SDK, Firmware & GSC
The partnership builds a closer relationship between both companies, better regulates their cooperation and ensures the reliability and stability of the system that combines OceanFax with HP MFPs. Under this partnership, HP will provide OceanX with a license to use HP’s SDKs, with which OceanX will integrate its development tools into HP MFPs, and access to firmware for deep development. OceanX is also allowed to have OceanFax displayed on the Global Solutions Catalog (GSC) target to HP field and accessible by customers, to facilitate HP sales make the sale of OceanFax/HP MFP application solution and HP customers directly contact OceanX. In addition, HP will provide SDK technical support and training to OceanX (e.g. the support required to integrate its e-mail to fax solution for HP MFPs, etc.).
